35 Best Instagram Spots In London
1. Tower Bridge

No visit to London is complete without a photo of the iconic Tower Bridge!
Located over the River Thames, this famous landmark is perfect for both day and night shots. For an epic shot, try to capture one of London’s iconic red double-decker buses crossing the bridge.
As well as taking a photo on the bridge itself, there are a few great spots nearby that have amazing views of the bridge. Try Tower Wharf, The Queens Walk and Horsleydown steps – check the tide times first before you try this one!
💁🏻♀️JJ’s Top Tip: Tower Bridge is busy so it’s difficult to get a picture without anyone in the background. To avoid the crowds, try going early in the morning or late at night.
2. London Eye

The London Eye is another iconic landmark that should be on every Instagrammers list. This giant Ferris wheel offers stunning views of the city and is a must-visit spot for capturing panoramic shots of London’s skyline.
For a unique shot, try taking your photo from one of the nearby bridges such as Westminster Bridge or Jubilee Bridge. You can also book a private capsule on the London Eye for an exclusive photo opportunity.
💁🏻♀️JJ’s Top Tip: My favourite spot to capture the London Eye is from across the river on the Victoria Embankment. The best view is close to the Battle of Britain Monument. Climb up onto the wall for a cute shot, but be careful not to fall in!
3. Buckingham Palace

A trip to London wouldn’t be complete without visiting His Majesty’s residence, Buckingham Palace. This grand building is a must-see for any royal fan and offers some great photo opportunities, especially during the famous Changing of the Guard ceremony.
You can also book a tour inside the palace for some exclusive photo opportunities in the stunning state rooms.
💁🏻♀️JJ’s Top Tip: For a cute and quirky photo, head to The Mall and position yourself at the end of the road with the palace in the background. You can also take a stroll through Green Park or St James’ Park, just opposite Buckingham Palace, for some beautiful nature shots.
4. Camden Market

Camden is my favourite neighbourhood in London. It has a quirky alternative vibe and is home to the famous Camden Market, where you can find unique street food, vintage clothing, and one-of-a-kind souvenirs.
The vibrant colours and eclectic mix of people make for a great photo backdrop. You can grab a photo of the unique and colourful shops on Camden High Street or pose with the famous Amy Winehouse statue in the heart of the market.
Be sure to also check out the nearby street art in Camden Lock and Chalk Farm.
5. Highgate Cemetery

A cemetery may seem like an odd choice for a photo opportunity, but trust me, Highgate Cemetery is worth a visit. This historic site is the final resting place of many famous figures, including Karl Marx and George Michael.
The eerie yet beautiful atmosphere makes for some hauntingly stunning photos. Just make sure to be respectful and follow the designated paths within the cemetery.
💁🏻♀️JJ’s Top Tip: The East side of the cemetery is more wild and overgrown and makes for some great nature shots, while the west side has more elaborate and ornate gravestones perfect for artistic photos.
6. Sky Garden

For a breathtaking view of London, head to the Sky Garden. This indoor garden is located at the top of the “Walkie Talkie” building and offers panoramic views of the city.
Not only will you get some amazing photos, but you can also enjoy a drink or meal at one of the restaurants within the garden.
💁🏻♀️JJ’s Top Tip: The Sky Garden is free to visit, but make sure to book your tickets in advance as they tend to sell out quickly and you are required to book a time slot.
7. Neal’s Yard

Tucked away in the bustling Covent Garden, Neal’s Yard is a hidden gem filled with vibrant colours and quirky shops.
Not only is it a great spot for some colourful photos, but it’s also a perfect place to grab some organic treats or unique beauty products.
💁🏻♀️JJ’s Top Tip: The courtyard of Neal’s Yard has become somewhat insta-famous over the past couple of years so these days it can get quite busy. Try to visit early in the morning or during weekdays for a more peaceful experience.
8. Kensington

I adore Kensington for its elegant architecture and charming streets.
Head to Kensington Palace for some royal-inspired photos, or simply stroll through the neighbourhood and admire the stunning Victorian homes. I really love the Georgian architecture around Kensington Square.
💁🏻♀️JJ’s Top Tip: The streets of Kensington are perfect for capturing those classic London shots, but make sure to also venture into the side streets and alleyways for some hidden gems. You never know what unique photo opportunities you may find!
9. Notting Hill

Notting Hill is one of the most instagrammable places in London and is a must-visit neighbourhood for any Instagrammer.
The pastel-coloured houses and charming streets make for the perfect backdrop for your photos. Make sure to visit Portobello Road Market for some colourful shots of the bustling market stalls.
The pink flat-iron building also makes for a great Instagram shot. It’s not as well-known as some of the other spots in Notting Hill as it is a little further from Portobello Road but it’s a stunning building and is worth stopping by. It’s located between Pottery Lane and Penzance Place.
💁🏻♀️JJ’s Top Tip: While the famous “Instagram houses” on Westbourne Park Road and Lancaster Road are always crowded with tourists, don’t be afraid to explore the quieter streets of Notting Hill for some equally stunning photo spots. Plus, you may even stumble upon some hidden cafes or boutiques along the way!
10. EL&N Cafe

Undoubtedly one of the most Aesthetic places in London, EL&N Cafe is a must-visit spot for any Instagram lover. The pink floral walls, marble tables and gold accents make it the perfect backdrop for your photos.
Not to mention, their food and drinks are just as photogenic! Make sure to try their signature rose latte or matcha pancakes for that perfect shot!
💁🏻♀️JJ’s Top Tip: EL&N has a few different locations which are all uniquely decorated. Head to the one in Knightsbridge for the Insta-famous pink love heart wall or the location in Soho’s Carnaby St for neon lights and a fun retro arcade vibe!
11. Natural History Museum

The Natural History Museum is a London landmark and a must-visit for both tourists and locals. But did you know it also has some amazing photo spots?
Head to the beautiful Hintze Hall with its iconic blue whale skeleton hanging from the ceiling, or explore the colourful minerals and gemstones in the Earth Galleries. The museum also hosts various temporary exhibitions which often make for great photo opportunities.
💁🏻♀️JJ’s Top Tip: The Natural History Museum is also a fantastic spot to take photos at night when the building is beautifully lit up. Plus, it’s usually less crowded in the evenings!
12. Big Ben

Another must-see spot in London is Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.
These stunning Gothic buildings are a symbol of London and offer a picturesque backdrop for your photos. Try to capture them from across the River Thames, or get creative and find a unique angle.

Take a stroll through London’s vibrant Chinatown and you’ll find yourself surrounded by colourful lanterns, traditional Chinese architecture, and mouth-watering food.
This bustling area is perfect for capturing the energy and culture of London’s Chinese community. And don’t forget to try some bubble tea or dim sum while you’re there!
15. St Pancras Renaissance Hotel

For a touch of luxury and glamour, visit the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel. This stunning Victorian building is known for its grand staircase and beautiful architecture, making it a popular spot for photo shoots and events.

16. The Shard

For the ultimate view of London’s skyline, head to The Shard. This towering skyscraper offers breathtaking views of the city and is a must-visit spot for any photography enthusiast.
Whether you capture the iconic shape of The Shard itself or use it as a backdrop for your photos, this location will not disappoint. And if heights aren’t your thing, you can still admire the building’s unique design from the ground.
💁🏻♀️JJ’s Top Tip: There are several rooftop bars that offer stunning views of The Shard. My favourite is London Bridge Rooftop Bar. The Sky Garden is also a great place to capture a shot of The Shard.
